On May 23, 2008, at approximately 7:20am, Dorothy Carras (DOB 04/08/27) was murdered inside her residence in the 1600 blk. of W. Chimayo Place.  DNA evidence collected at the scene has led Homicide detectives to obtain a warrant for the arrest of John Vincent Nitzke (DOB 06/09/60), for 1st Degree Murder and Sexual Assault.  Mr. Nitzke is a known transient and is believed to possibly be in the Tucson area.

John Vincent Nitzke is a Caucasian male, 6’0”, 170 lbs, brown hair and eyes.  Recent photographs of Mr. Nitzke are being made available to the public.  Anyone who may have seen this individual or know his whereabouts is asked to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
