The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Tucson Police Department, Marana Police Department, and Oro Valley Police Department have been working together to stop the rash of A.T.M. burglaries. Since January there have been 63 separate incidents of A.T.M. or safe burglaries. Criminals know no boundaries; that is why these agencies have been working diligently and in constant communication with each other. Information provided by detectives to patrol officers ultimately made the difference. Early yesterday morning, Marana Police Department and Tucson Police Department officers, while on patrol, made observations that led to the arrest of one suspect.
Four (4) search warrants were issued, which led investigators to search seven (7) residences and make multiple arrests. Fifteen (15) safes, seven (7) A.T.M.s, and two (2) registers were recovered. The following individuals were arrested:
