We are honored to invite you to attend the inaugural Pima County Regional Law Enforcement Memorial Service. This service will be held on May 8th, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Tucson Convention Center, 260 South Church. 

Since the 1800s, forty law enforcement officers have been killed in the line of duty in Pima County. These individuals dedicated their lives to serving the citizens of this region, and they did not falter from their course when the call came to give their lives. This event will give area law enforcement agencies the opportunity to remember and recognize the sacrifices made by these heroes.  The Master of Ceremonies will be Tucson resident and 17th Surgeon General of the United States, Dr. Richard Carmona. Tucson Mayor Bob Walkup will be the keynote speaker.  Twenty-six agencies representing federal, state, tribal and local law enforcement authorities
will be participating.

Members of the media are asked to join us in this opportunity to honor our fallen comrades.  We must live by the promise made to them when they were laid to rest; their sacrifice was not in vain and they will never be forgotten.
