On May 1, 2008, at 7:00am, members of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department will participate in the annual Special Olympics Torch Run.  The Pima County Regional S.W.A.T. Team, recruits from the Pima County Sheriff’s Basic Academy, and other commissioned and non-commissioned personnel will run from Oracle/River Road to Oracle/Magee.  The torch will then be handed off to the Oro Valley Police Department.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is proud of its annual participation in this worthy cause.  This year we anticipate nearly 90 runners along with a parade of specialty vehicles.  Come out and show your support for this very worthwhile event.
